haven't put anything up here for a while - here is our olive harvest for this year - all the jars and buckets are full of olives from our two olive trees.. lots of work .. just picking them all, then each olive has to be slit with a knife, all soaked in salty water, changed daily for some weeks.. so hope they taste nice after all that.. last year's were very good.. love ed

some paintings I did when we hadn't been here too long.. they don't bury any cables here it seems, so there are these great poles and cables everywhere for electricity and the trams and stuff.. and also balloons fly in the early mornings (you can ride in them- we haven't yet))

some pictures & video of the sculpture I built with friends to celebrate my 52nd birthday. first raising the big bamboos (I have the hat on).. then everyone made metal shapes to hang on it..

here's francesca and celeste grooming our friend lindon's donkey (hetti) Francesca in the bath francesca doing grafitti on the tiles, celeste washing a bottle, and a couple of sculptures - I got buckets and buckets of bolts from a council maintenance depot that I took apart. I made the first one on new years eve, and the second one a week or so later.. in the night you can line up the bit at the top on a star (we see a lot of starts here).. I put them on top of my studio to take the pictures - you can see a bit of our garden in the background- made me think I must take some videos of the house so you can see where we live.. love ed

my hammer

I got this fantastic american hammer in 1989. the wall was just coming down, i remember showing it to carsten and birgitta who were just over from berlin. it's been my companion ever since.. 20 years now..

I've been collecting bits of video of alleys.. melb. has lots of them.. maybe I'll edit them together
